ABOUT SIGI

After seeing a drag king performance for the first time in 2017 and doing a drag workshop by London cabaret duo Adam All & Apple Derrieres, Sigi ‘s career started when they landed third in London drag king competition Man Up!

A regular on the London drag and cabaret scene, Sigi has performed on stages and venues all over including Shakespeare's Globe, Glastonbury Music Festival, The Garrick Theatre and the Greenwich Maritime.

Inspired by old movies and pop culture, Sigi’s performances investigate toxic masculinity while alluding to contemporary socio-political issues using a mishmash of absurd clowning, striptease and lipsync. Sigi plays not one, but many iconic, traditionally masculine personas, all in touch with their feminine side while dabbling in dark humour that make the audience question themselves. From Kung Fu master to dangerous criminal, Captain Birdseye and even an Oscar statuette.
